BNET welcomed Nigeria's Minister of Communications and Digital Economy.

His Excellency Sh. Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of (BNET), welcomed His Excellency Dr. Issa Ibrahim Ali, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy of the friendly Federal Republic of Nigeria, and his accompanying delegation in the presence of BNET CEO Mr. Ahmed Jaber Al-Dosari, and executive management, on Sunday, May 21.

The visit witnessed an overview of BNET's growth and accomplishments in the implementation of the NTP5, as well as BNET’s efforts to expand the coverage of the Kingdom of Bahrain's national broadband network based on fiber, as well as providing access to fifth generation networks for mobile communications and connectivity to international cable systems and other international retail communication services.

On this occasion, BNET Chairman Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa commented, "We harnessed all of our capabilities and our resources in order to provide a reliable and supportive infrastructure to establish a smart, secure, and accessible communications network at an affordable price." We look forward to continuing to achieve sustainable growth in collaboration with different organizations and assessing our efforts to establish a national fiber optic network in accordance with our vision of "a prosperous community where everyone is connected."

On his end, Professor Issa Ali Ibrahim, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy of the Republic of Nigeria, praised the Kingdom of Bahrain's experience in the telecommunications sector and the tangible development he had witnessed, expressing his country's constant readiness to enhance aspects of cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain in this field and push the distinguished bilateral relations between the two sides to the next level.

His Excellency the Minister and the delegation was escorted on a tour at the company's headquarters, which included the Service Management Center and Network Operations Center, where His Excellency Dr. Issa Ali praised the company's successful efforts to follow the strategy of excellence in order to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness, which contributes in the digital growth of the Kingdom of Bahrain's telecoms business.
